The Mini-Broadband-Seismometer (MBB-2) offers a response between 120 sec and 160 Hz in a smaller, rugged, low power and low cost system that is easy to install and deploy. Built with ease of installation in mind, the MBB-2 does not require mass lock, mass centering, and has a large operational tilt range which combines to reduce installation training, time, and cost.
The STS-5A is a borehole broadband-seismometer comprised of a Streckeisen STS2.5 high-performance broadband-seismometer and a motorized gimbal system for in situ leveling. STS-5A can be directly interfaced to Quanterra Q330-family of recording systems for leveling, centering, calibration and remote control in general. The version STS-5A-360 offers a response extended to 360 seconds.
Based on STS-5A, Model STS-6A exhibits even lower long period noise, as well as magnetic shielding for correct operation at high latitudes. With a response from 360s to 50 Hz combined with a quiet deep borehole environment, it opens untapped research opportunities.
STS-1 & STS-2
The very high performance STS-1 and the high performance STS-2 are still widely in use confirming the high quality and reliability of the Streckeisen sensor family. STS-1 production has ended in 2005 and STS-2 in 2010.
